vMotion is a very powerful toolto migration vm from one esxi server to another online. In other words, you can remote desktop one wondows vm and run vMotion

at the same time, and the remote desktop connection still remained. 

1. Run vsphere, login, and choose this esxi server, then goto Configuration-->Networking-->Properties

 

2. choose Management Network, then edit, and enable vMotion.

 

3. login  vsphere web client of vCenter and goto Hosts & Clusters-->choose one vm and right click, then choose Migration

 

4. Migration step begins. Step 1 is to choose your migration type. if your destination vm and datastore is in another esxi server, like me,

    you need to choose the third type. 

 

5. Step 2 is to choose our destination esxi server

 

6. Then select datastore which saves virtual drives of the vm.

7. Choose network interface you want to use when migration

8. Set migration priority.

9. Review the setting of migration. If there is no problem, press finish

10. The task pannel shows the finish percentage of migration

11. Migration complete.

12. In the destination esxi server, the number of vm add from 5 to 6.
